Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Liaovo browser extension, the website liaovo.com and related services (together, the “Service”), provided by WY Studio LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company (“Liaovo”, “we”, “us”). By installing the extension, creating an account or purchasing a plan, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Liaovo provides AI-powered translation inside web chat applications such as WhatsApp Web and Facebook Messenger, and for text you select on web pages. Liaovo is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by WhatsApp LLC, Meta Platforms, Inc. or any other platform it works with.

2. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use the Service.
  • You sign in with your email address. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your email secure.
  • One account may be used on up to 5 devices at the same time. Accounts are for one person or business and may not be resold.
  • Free sign-up credits are offered once per device. Creating multiple accounts to obtain extra free credits is not allowed.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • send spam, unsolicited bulk messages, or messages that violate the terms of WhatsApp, Meta or any other platform;
  • harass, defraud, threaten or deceive anyone, or translate content that is illegal;
  • reverse engineer, overload, scrape or interfere with the Service, or bypass usage limits; or
  • infringe the rights of others.

You are responsible for your use of the third-party platforms on which you use Liaovo and for complying with their terms.

4. Translations

Translations are produced automatically by AI and may contain errors. Liaovo never sends messages for you: you decide what to send and you are responsible for the messages you send. Check important details, such as prices, quantities, dates and legal or medical information, before relying on a translation.

5. Plans, credits and payment

  • The Service uses credits. Each translation uses credits based on its length, as described on the Pricing page.
  • Paid plans are subscriptions billed monthly or yearly in advance and renew automatically until you cancel. Each billing month includes the plan’s monthly credits. Unused monthly credits do not roll over.
  • Credits from sign-up, top-ups and redeem codes do not expire while your account is active.
  • Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred and are not refundable except as described in our Refund Policy.
  • Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are in US dollars, and applicable taxes may be added.
  • We may change prices or plans. Changes to your subscription price take effect at your next renewal after we notify you, and you can cancel before then.

6. Cancellation

You can cancel at any time from “Manage subscription” in the extension settings. Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period, and you will not be charged again. Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

7. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the Service or create risk for others. Where an account is closed for abuse, remaining credits are forfeited. You may stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design and brand, belongs to WY Studio LLC. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the extension for its intended purpose. You keep all rights to the text you translate.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. Third-party platforms may change in ways that temporarily or permanently affect how Liaovo works with them.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Liaovo will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service or of any translation. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, unless the law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring claims in your local courts.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will notify you by email or in the extension before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
